À la Valdôtaine

À la Valdôtaine can mean several things:

  • With prosciutto and a cheese, such as mozzarella; or
  • With Fontina cheese. Fondue à la valdôtaine means made with Fontina cheese; or
  • “Café à la Valdôtaine” is a coffee with brandy, sugar and spices in it.

Language Notes

Means in the manner of what the French call the Vallée d’Aoste, a valley in Northern Italy that the Italians call “Valle d’Aosta”.
