AC Red Island are round, sometimes oval potatoes with very bright red skin and off-white flesh.

History Notes

AC Red Island Potatoes were developed by Belfast, Ireland native Kenneth G. Proudfoot for the Government of Canada at its Agriculture Canada Research Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1967.

Released 1996.
