Adirondack Blue are round to oval potatoes with purple flesh and skin.
They can get very large, but can develop hollow centres when allowed to do so, and develop large eye cavities.
They have good flavour.
The plant delivers a relatively early harvest.
They are marketed as all-purpose, though they are more on the waxy side making them better as a boiled potato.
History Notes
During development, Adirondack Blue Potatoes were referred to as “S45-5.”
