Affriander

Affriander is a French verb that means to “make something alluring or enticing.”

In English, it is perhaps best translated as “to gussy something up”, or more prosaically, “to garnish.”

Language Notes

“Friand” by itself means “fond of” — as in, “je suis friand de crème glacée” (“I am fond of ice cream”.)

“Une friandise” is a delicacy.
