Aiguillon beans are a bush bean.
The plant flowers first with pale purple blossoms, then produces an early harvest of long, pencil-thin, French filet type stringless green beans.
If the bean pods are allowed to mature fully, and dry, they will contain elongated dried beans that will be either pale maroon or black-maroon.
