Amber Jewel Tomatoes

Amber Jewel Tomatoes are a variety of yellow tomato which in shape looks like a small plum tomato.

The taste is a normal tomato taste.

They are sold in farmers’ markets and in some grocery stores (such as Waitrose) in the UK during the summers.

As of 2005, they are being cultivated on the Isle of Wight for sale in Waitrose grocery stores in the UK.

Equivalents

1 medium Amber Jewel Tomato weighs about 3 oz/ 75g

Language Notes

Sometimes called “Amber Jewel Plums.” This can be confusing, as there actually are plums (as in the fruit) called “Amber Jewels.”
