Asian Rose Garlic usually has 8 cloves per bulb, with a tight skin that has areas of solid deep purple and areas of purple stripes.

Inside, the cloves are covered in tan skin that has thin stripes of pink.

The cloves have a very pronounced garlic flavour. The heat builds slowly in your mouth. You don’t taste it at first, but then it gets very hot. The heat can last in your mouth for over 30 seconds.

The garlic is ready to harvest early.

It belongs to the Asiatic sub group of the artichoke group of garlics.

Storage Hints

Asian Rose Garlic can be stored for up to 5 to 6 months.
