The 12th of March is Baked Scallops Day.
Enjoy baked scallops today as a starter or as a main course!
There are many different recipes for baking them.
You can buy scallops fresh or frozen; you might even consider making a trip to your nearest local fishmonger to support them.
If you don’t have time to cook today, you might order some at a restaurant.
Scallops are very low in fat, so low in fact that they are even zero points on some Weight Watchers® plans. Baking them is a good way to keep them low fat because it avoids frying them up in lots of butter, which is another typical way of cooking them.
Do you keep kosher? If you, scallops would be off the menu for you: maybe you could bake some gefilte fish or something.
