Batoche are medium-sized, round potatoes with smooth, red skin and off-white flesh.
They are said to be all-purpose for table use.
They are mostly grown by home gardeners.
The plant delivers high yields.
Batoche Potatoes were developed in 1963 by the Government of Canada at its Agriculture Canada Research Station in Fredericton, New Brunswick from a cross between Redskin potatoes and a potato referred to as “Scott 2774-3R.” Released 1976.
