Braised Red Cabbage

Braised Red Cabbage Recipe

A very tasty cabbage side dish. Lovely with mash and something else.

Ingredients
  

  • half Red Cabbage sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • half Onion sliced thinly
  • handful Raisins
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Cook all the above in a covered saucepan or frying pan until the cabbage is tender -- about 10 minutes.

Notes

White wine, red, malt or cider vinegar is nice.
