Brown Speckled Cow Beans

Brown Speckled Cow Beans are long, oval white beans with dark mottling. Their appearance is similar to Appaloosa Beans, but with far less dark mottling, and are slightly larger.

The plant is a bushy type member of the Kidney Bean family

Brown Speckled Cow Beans have a mild flavour, and keep their shape when cooked, so they are good for soups and salads.

History Notes

Brown Speckled Cow Beans are reputed to have made its way at some point from South America to Africa, where it was “found in a cave in Kenya.”
