Calisaya Bitters is not a brand name of bitters, but rather a type of bitters made by a few different distillers in Spain and Italy.
It is based on Calisaya bark (aka cinchona bark, aka quinine), herbs, and spices.
The alcohol content can range anywhere from .7 to 30%.
Brand names include Ferro China, China-Martini, and Massagli of Lucca’s “Elixir di China Calisaia e Biadina” (created 1855.)
