Five Spice Powder is used in Chinese cooking as a spice mix.
The following makes 5 teaspoons:
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon;
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cloves;
- 1 teaspoon Fennel Seed;
- 1 teaspoon Star Anise;
- 1 teaspoon Szechwan Peppercorns
Sometimes, ginger, galanga and black cardamom are added.
