Flambeau Beans

Flambeau Beans grow on a bush-type bean plant that doesn’t need staking.

It produces white blossoms, then green pods 5 ½ inches (14 cm) long by ½ inch (1 cm) wide; 80 to 90 days from seed.

There will be 8 to 10 small, light green beans inside each pod.

Flambeau Beans can be podded and used as fresh beans, or the beans can be dried.

It is, though, difficult to pod.

Flambeau Beans are best used as fresh beans; they will be firm but tender.

History Notes

Flambeau Beans were introduced 1973.
