Golden Delicious Squash

Golden Delicious Squash are tall and oval, with orange skin, and thick, finely-textured, yellowish-orange flesh that is not watery.

The squash can weigh 8 to 14 pounds (3 ½ to 6 ⅓ kg.)

Vine-type plant.

95 to 100 days from seed.

Cooking Tips

Good for baking, pie, soup, canning.

The seeds are good roasted.

Stores well.

History Notes

Golden Delicious Squash was developed by Ray W. and Edward E. Gill of Gill Brothers Seed Company, Portland, Oregon, from a cross between Green Delicious Hubbard Squash and Boston Marrow.

Introduced 1926.
