Nero di Milano Zucchini

Nero di Milano Zucchini has very dark green skin, giving it its “black” name.

The plant is a compact, open bush. It starts bearing zucchini around 45 to 50 days to maturity, and will produce throughout the season.

The zucchini mature very quickly once one starts. They are best harvested before they are 7 to 8 inches (17 to 20 cm) long.

Good for any use: raw or cooking.

History Notes

Nero di Milano Zucchini originated in Lombardy, Italy.

Language Notes

The name means “the black one of Milan.”
