As for them being marketed as all-purpose, they are actually more waxy than not, and tend to hold their shape very firmly when boiled.
History Notes
Nieta Potatoes were developed by the Plant Breeding International Cambridge Plc in Cambridge, England from a cross between Desiree and Maris Piper potatoes.
