These are waxy potatoes, marketed for direct to consumer sales.
History Notes
Nipigon Potatoes were developed in 1961 by Agricultural Canada at its Fredericton Research Station, New Brunswick, Canada from a cross between two potatoes referred to as “F53026” and “F51043.”
During development, the potato was referred to as “F60051.”
