The 13th of November is Nugget Day.
The day seem to have started off as Chicken Nugget Day and then morphed over time into just “Nugget Day”.
This is probably a good change, as it leaves the door open to vegetarian and vegan options for nuggets. And let’s face it, not even a meat-eater is going to say no to a veggie nugget just oozing with melted cheese inside!
Everyone loves nuggets, and what’s not to like about these little morsels of food that are soft inside and crunchy outside?
Nuggets are a guaranteed crowd pleaser at children’s parties even with the fussiest kids.
For some people, nuggets are all about the dipping sauces. What are your favourite dipping sauces? Popular flavours can include BBQ Sauce, chipotle mayo, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, sweet & sour, sweet chili, and szechaun.
Many different brands of plant-based nuggets are available now. In that vein of thinking, some might say that falafel balls could count as nuggets, too.
Nuggets are often deep-fried, but the healthy factor can be notched up a bit by baking or air-frying them instead. Swapping the side of fries for a side of salad (dressing on the side) can help, too.
On this day, some restaurants will offer all you can eat unlimited nuggets for a flat price. Others will offer deals and promotions

History
CooksInfo hasn’t been able to find, up to 2021, any mention in print media of a (National) (Chicken) Nugget Day in November, in any combination of the phrase. It appeared to be an “Internet Food Holiday” that hadn’t yet attracted wide attention in the off-line media at any rate.
