Nutty Fudge Day is the 12th of May.
The day celebrates fudge with nuts in it.
People typically think chocolate fudge with nuts, but really it can be any flavour: chocolate, butterscotch, vanilla, rum, peanut butter… the sky’s the limit!
And what about the nuts? What are your favourite nuts in fudge: walnuts, pecans or another nut such as almonds, cashews, peanuts, or mixed nuts?
When making nutty fudge, nuts are added right at the very end of making it so they don’t get smooshed in the mixing.
You could make your own nutty fudge today, or buy some. Fudge is a classic in small tourist towns, so maybe a road trip is in order today to really treat yourself on a quest for nutty fudge.
