Okusankichi Pears are an older variety that originated in Korea. They are medium-sized, and generally try to be round, though they don’t always quite succeed. The skin is brown with brown russeting.The flavour isn’t as popular as some of the newer varieties, but it does improve in storage, and this fruit is a good keeper: in commercial storage, it appears that some people are able to store it up to 10 months.
