Peconic are large-sized, oval potatoes with light-buff skin and white flesh.
They were promoted as all-purpose but were actually more on the waxy side.
Not being grown commercially as of 2006.
History Notes
Peconic Potatoes were developed at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, from a cross between Katahdin potatoes and a potato referred to as “LNA-106.”
Released in 1966.
