Ptarmigan Potatoes are oblong, with smooth buff skin, and pale yellow flesh.
They are promoted as all-purpose for direct to consumer sales but are actually on the waxier side.
History Notes
Ptarmigan Potatoes were developed by Agriculture Canada at its Research Station in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, from a cross between two potatoes referred to as “ND6993-13” and “F59103.”
During development, the potato was referred to as “F76080.”
