Red Potatoes

Red Potato is a generic term applied to a family of North American potatoes. They are a waxy potato with thin skins and white flesh.

They are good for salads, roasting, steaming and boiling. They don’t need to be peeled for use in salads as the skin is so thin and flavourful.

Among the red varieties are:

  • Claret
  • Desirée
  • Kerr’s Pink
  • Red Cara
  • Red Craig Royal
  • Red Duke of York
  • Red Gold
  • Red King Edward
  • Red Norlands
  • Red Pontiac
  • Redskin
  • Romano
