Smoked Cottage Roll

A Smoked Cottage Roll is a smoked version of a Sweet Pickled Cottage Roll.

It will have a taste somewhat like smoked ham.

The pork will be cured then smoked. The cut is usually sold cooked, though occasionally it is sold raw and needing cooking.

You can buy a whole one, or half of one.

A Smoked Cottage Roll tends to be referred to as “Smoked Cottage Roll” in Canada, and “Smoked Cottage Ham” in America.

Occasionally though in both places you may see it called “smoked pork butt.”
