Sultana Raisins

Raisins labelled “Sultana Raisins” are not the same as raisins just labelled “Sultanas.”

Sultana Raisins are instead “Sultana style” raisins which have been made from a grape such as Thompson Seedless, rather than the true Sultana Grape.

Though true Sultanas are sweeter and less acidic, you can use both interchangeably.

Other names

Spanish: Pasa sultana, Pasas de Esmirna, Pasas gorronas
