Sweet Dumpling Squash are small and round, about the size of a large orange, but slightly flattened.

They have ivory-coloured rind with dark-green broad stripes in the furrows of their ridges, and dark-green speckling in between.

They are about 10 cm (4 inches) wide, and each will weigh about 500 g ( ½ pound.)

Inside, they have sweet, dry flesh, golden flesh.

The squash grows on a vine-type squash plant that produces 8 to 10 squash per plant.

Cooking Tips

1 sweet dumpling squash serves 2. The rind can be eaten.

It can be a bit fiddly to scoop out the seeds because the squash is so small.

Storage Hints

Store in a cool place for up to 3 to 4 months.
