The 28th of June is Tapioca Day.
Tapioca fans, rejoice! A day on which you do not have to be shy about your love of tapioca!
You could make tapioca pudding today, or buy it canned or enjoy it for dessert in a restaurant. Tapioca pudding is a dessert that too often just plain gets forgotten!
You could use tapioca in a pie as a thickener.
You could treat yourself to some Bubble Tea today, which has balls of tapioca in it.
If you missed today, there’s also a Tapioca Pudding Day on the 15th of July, and no, we have no idea why there are two similar days so close to each other.

History
The earliest print mention of a ‘Tapioca Day’ in June that CooksInfo is aware of dates from 2003:
“28th June. National Tapioca Day and it’s well after Chocolate Pudding Day. As it should be.” — Daily Plan-It. June. Chicago, Illinois: Chicago Tribune. Wednesday, 28 May 2003. Page 45, col. 1.
