The 26th of June is Chocolate Pudding Day.
This celebrates the dessert calling chocolate pudding. In the U.S. and Canada, chocolate pudding is a chocolate-flavoured, light-tasting custard.
It is typically enjoyed on its own, but can also be used as a filling in a layer cake, pie or tarts.
You can serve it plain or garnish it. Garnishes could include whipped cream, pieces of chocolate, toasted coconut, or maybe a maraschino cherry.
Today, you get to enjoy it at breakfast, lunch and dinner if you want.
In Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, etc., chocolate pudding is more likely to be interpreted as a cake-like saucey dessert (a moist, self-saucing cake), served warm, typically with ice cream, a vanilla custard sauce, or thick spooning double cream. This is just as good as the North American version!
A chocolate rice pudding or chocolate tapioca could also count for today!

History
The earliest print mention of a ‘Chocolate Pudding Day’ in June that CooksInfo is aware of dates from 1997:
“I got this calendar off of the Internet, it’s 365 reasons to party. Not that I need a reason, but it is an interesting calendar. A couple days really caught my eye. For example, June 20th is National Ice Cream Soda Day, June 22 is National Chocolate Eclair Day, June 26 is National Chocolate Pudding Day…” Pittman, Byron. Something Different. Eldon, Missouri: Eldon Advertiser. Thursday, 19 June 1997. Page B3, col. 4.
