Goldrush Potatoes

Goldrush are oblong, flattened potatoes with light-brown, russetted skin, and white flesh.

They are marketed as all-purpose for direct to consumer sales and for processing into French Fries (aka chips in the UK.)

History Notes

Goldrush Potatoes were developed at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota from a cross between Lemhi Russet potatoes and a potato referred to as “ND450-3Russ.”

During development, the potato was referred to as “ND1538-1Russ.”

Released 1992.
