Navan Potatoes are oval to round with smooth, light-buff skin and white or pale-yellow flesh.
They are medium-sized, floury potatoes.
The plant yields an early harvest.
The potatoes are marketed for direct to consumer sales and for processing into potato chips (aka crisps in the UK and in Ireland.)
History Notes
Navan Potatoes were developed at the Northern Ireland Plant Breeding Station at Manor House, Loughgall, in 1976 from a cross between Maris Piper potatoes and a potato referred to as “S62/47/1.” Released 1987.
