Quinoa Flakes

Quinoa that has been processed just like rolled oats, by steaming then rolling. It’s mainly used like oatmeal in hot cereals, but there’s no reason you couldn’t use it, like rolled oats, in cookies, squares and as an accent to breads and rolls.

Cooking Tips

The flakes will have been rinsed very well during processing so that unlike whole quinoa, you don’t need to rinse them.

Substitutes

Rolled oats or other rolled grains

Other names

French: Flocons de quinoa
German: Quinoaflocken
Spanish: Copos de quinoa
