Red Mignonette is a butterhead variety of lettuce, with bronzey-red leaves.

It is a semi-head lettuce. It can weigh up to 1 pound (450g.) The firmness and size of the head varies based on temperature during growing. It tolerates heat, and is slow to bolt, but there can be some tip burn during very hot weather, and heavy rains can bruise the leaves.

It is good for salads, sandwiches, plate garnishes.
