Zucchini

Patriot II Zucchini

Patriot II is a hybrid zucchini developed by the Asgrow Seed Company. It has smooth lemon yellow skin, except at the stem end where it is green. The plant starts producing uniformly-sized zucchini within about 41 days of being planted from seed. The zucchini will grow 6 to 7 inches (15 to 18 cm) long.

Pavo Zucchini

Pavo is a crookneck type of squash with smooth, yellow skin. The plant, an F1 hybrid, starts producing zucchini within 40 days of being planted from seed. History Notes Pavo Zucchini were developed by the Asgrow Seed Company. During development, its name was XPH 1457. Released 1985.

Picasso Zucchini

Picasso is a crookneck type zucchini. The F1 hybrid plant starts producing early in the season, and goes on to be a heavy bearer. History Notes Picasso Zucchini were developed by the Ferry-Morse Seed Company. Its name during development was FMX 564. Released 1995.

Richgreen Zucchini

Rocky Gold Zucchini

Rocky Gold is an F1 hybrid zucchini. It has gold skin, with no greenishness at either end. Inside, its flesh is pale white. History Notes Rocky Gold Zucchini was developed by the Hollar Seeds Company of Rocky Ford, Colorado. Released 1993.

Rugosa of Friuli Zucchini

Rugosa of Friuli is one of the least good looking zucchinis, but one of the best tasting. It has warty yellow skin, and is bulbous towards the end opposite the stem. History Notes Rugosa of Friuli Zucchini originated in the Veneto area of Italy, where it is still extremely popular.

Salerno Zucchini

Salerno is an improved cultivar of Fordhook Zucchini. History Notes Salerno Zucchini was used as a parent of Black Beauty Zucchini and Storr’s Green Hybrid Zucchini.

San Pasquale Zucchini

San Pasquale Zucchini has glossy, dark green skin with some lighter marbling and slight ridging. The compact plant delivers high yields, up to 30 zucchini per plant. The zucchini has a mild flavour.

Seasons Zucchini

Seasons is a hybrid, straight zucchini with medium to dark green skin. History Notes Seasons Zucchini was developed by the Abbott and Cobb Seed Company in Pennsylvania. Released before 1999.

Sebring Zucchini

Sebring is a hybrid zucchini with skin that is a deep gold colour. The zucchini will grow up to 8 inches (20 cm) long. The plant is open bush type. History Notes Sebring Zucchini was developed by the Otis Twilley Seed Company in South Carolina. Released before 1999.
