Whirl Cheese is a brand name for a cheese formed from two cheeses combined together and rolled up like a Swiss roll.
The outside cheese is Red Leicester; the cheese used to make the whirl is a 30% fat cream cheese.
Both cheeses are made from pasteurized cows milk, with rennet.
Historically, it was available in two versions, Herb & Garlic, and Onion & Chive. As of 2022, the version on offer is the Herb & Garlic.
The cheese is made by Long Clawson Dairy in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, England.
