With this dressing, you can turn your slaws back into a food that truly is healthy. And you can throw it together in less than 5 minutes. Use on shredded cabbage, shredded broccoli, etc. Double this recipe to feed a crowd or have left-overs for another day. This is also a great party dip. The recipe makes 125 ml (½ cup / 4 oz) of salad dressing
Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
- ½ teaspoon Celery Seed
- ½ tablespoon Mustard Powder
- ½ teaspoon Stevia liquid
- 1 tablespoon Sour Cream low-fat
- 1 tablespoon White Vinegar
- ½ cup Miracle Whip fat-free
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients from the onion powder down to the stevia, then blend in the Kraft fat-free Miracle Whip.
- Use on your prepared salad green.
Notes
Using liquid stevia as a sweetener allows you to leave out the sugar, and its mellow tone works very nicely here. Some liquid stevias vary in sweetness by brand; try the ½ teaspoon first and see if you want more.
On occasions when you have more time, swap the ½ teaspoon of onion powder for 1 tablespoon fresh, minced onion (regular or green / spring) for a bit more kick.
Instead of white vinegar, you can use cider vinegar, etc.
Optional: add a few pinches of dried dill weed. You can make this ahead and store covered in refrigerator for up to a week.
