The 31st of May is Macaroon Day.
How do you like your macaroons? With or without coconut? Chewy or crispy? American style or French style?
There are so many different flavours now to choose from, from champagne to red velvet or key lime.
Activities for today
- you could buy or make some macaroons. If you are planning on making some, you can cheat and buy egg white in a carton;
- have friends round for afternoon tea or coffee, and serve macaroons;
- bake some and give some to neighbours or take some to work;
- look for bakeries offering specials on macaroons.
