The 6th of October is Noodle Day.
You get to have noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
As autumn begins in the northern hemisphere, few things can be as comforting as a bowl of hot noodles.
And if you are in the southern hemisphere, where spring is starting and you are enjoying a warm, spring day, you may like to enjoy a bowl of cool noodles, to herald the coming summer.
With a whole 24 hours to celebrate noodles, you can sample unique noodles and noodle dishes from places such as Hong Kong, Italy, Germany, Singapore, Taiwan, Hungary… the list of different cuisines that make noodles is seemingly endless!
And there are so many kinds of noodles! Today, try thick noodles, thin noodles, sheet noodles, egg noodles, crispy fried noodles…. buckwheat noodles, rice noodles, wheat noodles, yam noodles, potato noodles, bean noodles, tofu noodles. And what about veggie noodles such as zoodles made with zucchini or Caulifloodles made with cauliflower?
Heck, if you’re pressed for time, even just a packet of ramen noodles from the dollar or pound store will count!
Some restaurants will offer specially priced featured noodle dishes, or discount upgrades, or free delivery.
There are probably lots of special noodle offers around today, if you just “use yer noodle” to look for ’em!
