Crepes and pancakes are quick breads prepared in a frying pan over a heat source. Despite their ease of preparation, they are some of the most beloved foods around in many cuisines from East to West.

While in the American tradition they are associated largely with breakfast, in other cuisines they are served later in the day as part of main courses or desserts.
