Western cuisine has rediscovered flat breads in a big way the past few decades. One sign of it is that wraps made with flat breads, particularly tortillas, but also pitas, are appearing everywhere as appetizers, snacks, lunches, and fast food. Cooked dishes with tortillas in them are making more of an appearance with the spread in popularity of Mexican and Tex-Mex food.
