The 19th December is Oatmeal Muffin Day.
Celebrate today with an oatmeal muffin. Would you like yours warmed, and with butter and / or jam? What do you prefer to drink with an oatmeal muffin? A tea, a coffee, a cocoa, or something like, like orange juice?
There are some healthier oatmeal muffin options, though usually you have to make them yourself using low-fat and low-sugar recipes — some people complain, though, that these recipes are bland and uninteresting and that they’d never try them again. To jazz them up, though, it’s easy to add blueberries, cranberries, assorted pieces of fresh or dried fruits, nuts such as walnuts or pecans. Heck, even chocolate chips or butterscotch chips.
You can also buy an oatmeal muffin just about anywhere these days, so it’s easy to celebrate the day!
The first print occurrence of Oatmeal Muffin Day mentioned as universally occurring on the 19th December that CooksInfo is aware of is in a list of “silly food holidays” compiled in 2004 by Emily Nunn of the Chicago Tribune. “December….
